Education & Background
Thalia earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts in 2011. After graduating she went on to work in sustainable agriculture, helping to establish multiple large scale regenerative design and permaculture projects focusing on apiculture and mycology. During this time she also performed as an aerialist in addition to being a dance and yoga instructor. In 2018, a desire to work in healthcare lead her to enroll in the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture and earn a Master of Acupuncture degree and Chinese Herbal Studies Certificate. Attending a Five Element Acupuncture school instilled a deep understanding of the nature-based, esoteric components of Taoist Medicine and Japanese acupuncture. Six months after graduating in September 2021 she enrolled in Pacific College of Health Sciences and graduated in August, 2023 with a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. This program allowed for a deeper exploration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medical science. She has a private practice in NYC, teaches continuing education programs, hosts retreats, sits on the governing board of AFEA and is dedicated to continuous personal growth and professional development.
